>its a secret that farms do. they do not want us to know. they probaly going to hate me for bringing this up. hormone treatment makes fish looks very nice when it is a very low quality fish but after around 6 months colours turn to shit something like wtt but they blame wtt and hormones treatment make fish turn gay they will not breed. i have a friend that have red arowana no hormone treated they breed once in a 300 gallon tank now they are breeding again

WTT. Yes, common practice in asian breeding farms.
Color injection or feeding high color additive food. Yes.Heard before, but not common and color will fade off very soon.
Your friend is very lucky to have the red arowana breeding in tank.
Water quality must be very comfortable for the aros in the tank.

If such rumours/backstabbing methods are happening and were meant to tarnish aros breeders/farms reputation in your country, then I would say it is utterly pathetic. One can get sue for spreading false information in Singapore; I quoted Minister K Shanmugams words.
I, on the other hand, do not trust words/pics/videos easily unless I witnessed it with my own eyes and verified it personally. I also doubt that red aros can easily breed in glass tank (aquarium). By the way, the youtube video had been removed. Anyone can post a real solid video and claim its ownership.

Does gut loading = hormones treated? The word hormones already define everything. And the author of this thread used the word hormones treatment. Unless you are saying hormones treated fish food i.e. bf, sw that are injected with hormones. Hence, I suppose you find your own answer to your own question.
